As a Production Operator for this aluminum die-cast manufacturer, you'll operate production equipment safely and efficiently while ensuring the utmost quality of every product off your line. You'll work for one of the world's premier global automotive suppliers, producing a comprehensive range of body, chassis, and engineering solutions. Strong team work, attention-to-detail, and communication skills are key factors for success in this role.

Description

Your typical day will consist of:

  • Working within company safety guidelines that comply with MIOSHA standards at all times.
  • Operating your production cell and peripheral equipment efficiently.
  • Performing thorough quality checks in a timely manner, ensuring that customer and company expectations are met.
  • Meeting or exceeding daily production targets without sacrificing safety and quality.
  • Constantly building and maintaining positive relations with your team.
  • Loading and unloading production equipment.
  • Performing basic tool changes as needed.
  • Using standard hand and measruing tools.
  • Ensuring that production equipment and work areas are clean and organized.
  • Perform all PM's to the equipment as assigned.
  • Identifying, tagging, and clearly documenting all product entering and leaving the cell.
  • Assisting all departments as needed - we're all working toward the same goal, after all!

 

Qualifications

We'd love to chat if you:

  • Have at least 2 years' previous work experience operating production equipment, and/or experience in manufacturing/light industrial environments, especially automotive production.
  • Can easily have clear, open, and courteous communication with peers, supervisors, management, customers, and suppliers.
  • Thrive in a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Have flexibility to work any shift to start, plus overtime.
  • Are familiar with working to blueprint specs.
  • Are comfortable working in an environment with temperature extremes, loud noise and considerable tow motor traffic.
